SCAM ALERT!!
http://www.bustedupcowgirl.com/scampage.html (Check out this page for lots of information)
After receiving several emails from scammers over the past few weeks I decided to post a page on my website helping to make people more aware of these scams.
I recently discovered that not everyone is aware that these scams are so prevalent. The old adage if its too good to be true certainly pertains to this particular scam.
The most prevalent scam I am aware of has the buyer always wanting to send you more money than your asking price. Often the scammer will ask for the most recent offer received so they can match the price. The majority of the time the item they are asking to buy will be inserted between parenthesis. (I am sure they have a form they use but dont realize they need to remove the parenthesis. ) The majority of the time they are very religious. They always want to send the seller a cashiers check & will always want you to send the balance back to them or an associate or a shipper in the form of Western Union. The cashiers checks are counterfeit & most likely you will deposit the money in your checking account send the balance to the buyer through Western Union and a few weeks later you will receive notice that the Cashiers check was counterfeit. Of course the buyers will never show up for their purchase because they now have your money and they are very happy. I have even had people phone me wanting to purchase horses in the same manor, but the majority of the time this will be done through email. This is not just happening with horses it is also happening with dogs, cattle, boats , pretty much any advertised item.
If it sounds too good to be true then dont sell your item. Also, never send the difference of the purchase price to anyone. If they are legitimate buyers they will send you the exact amount of purchase and they wont mind waiting 2 - 3 weeks for payment to clear. If the buyers dont want to wait they can send you a wire transfer or a Western Union payment.
I have been having fun playing with these scammers and thought Id share the fun with all of you.
Here is one email I received and how I responded.

This is their response ( at least they are reading the emails)
thanks for the mail ,well i dont understand what you mean by nancy gotcha a scam bohman what did u mean buy that, please explain to me because this is my first time of buying things on internet.
thanks for the response
This was my response to this poor innocent victim of my abuse.
it means you need to wake up and smell the roses.
you are offering to buy semen & you will arrange a hauler to come and get it. Come on who arranges a hauler to pick up semen.
you want me to send you money that someone else owes you.
come on now, you don't even know what it is you enquired about. I told you the semen was poor quality and stored for a year. Duhhhhhhhh
if you are legitimately buying semen you wouldn't do it this way.
So, yes I am positive you are a scammer.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nobody legitimately does business the way you want to do it .
You are trying to pull the same old scam thats been around for years. I am shocked that you think someone is dumb enough to fall for it. I know you will send me a counterfeit "Cashier The Cheque" & you will expect me to send you or your associate my money probably through western union. By the time I find out your cashier check is bogus I will have lost my money.
Come on do you really think there is any way I could possibly think you are legitimately trying to buy semen ?????????? You really ought to read what you are asking to buy.
Scroll down read your first subject line. You are clueless what it is you are buying you have a form that you sent to everyone you can find with an add and send the same email regardless of what the item.
But, if you are for real and want to still buy this product you can send me the exact amount through western union & Id be happy to mail you fresh semen. (but I really doubt you have a mare (girl horse) to use this on.
Thanks very much
Needless to say I never heard from this buyer again.
